(VOVworld) – Le Manh Ha, Deputy Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, has laid a wreath at the South African Consulate General in the city to pay tribute to Nelson Mandela.

Over the past few days, delegations of the City’ departments and agencies, diplomatic corps and foreign residents have paid tribute to the late South African President at the Consulate General.

In South Africa, a Vietnamese delegation led by Dao Viet Trung, Head of the Presidential Office and special envoy of Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang, paid tribute Wednesday at the Union Buildings, the seat of South African government.

In the book of condolences, Trung wrote that Vietnamese people will forever remember Mandela as a great friend, who supported and encouraged Vietnamese people during Vietnam’s struggle for independence and growth.
