These soldiers had escaped from Turkey by helicopter. Mr. Cavusoglu said Turkey will take all necessary steps, including the cancellation of the bilateral readmission agreement signed last March, which stipulates Turkey will take back migrants who crossed into Greece illegally. This important agreement aims to prevent refugees from entering the EU.

The same day, CNN reported that the Turkish Ministry of Justice had sent the second extradition request to Greece.
