Two Japanese ministers visit Yasukuni shrine

(VOVworld) – Japanese Internal Affairs Minister Yoshitaka Shindo visited the controversial war-linked Yasukuni Shrine on Friday to mark the 69th anniversary of Japan's surrender at the end of World War II. His visit was followed by Chairman of the National Public Safety Commission Keiji Furuya’s worship at the shrine minutes later.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who reportedly said he will not to visit at this time amid Tokyo’s efforts to mend ties with Beijing and Seoul, had already sent sacrifices to the shrine.
