(VOVworld) – The UK has completed many works since it was named as host of the 2012 Olympic Games to ensure it is a unique event in the eyes of people around the world. The UK ambassador to Vietnam Antony Stokes stated this during a meeting with managers from the Vietnamese sporting team and several of the competitors taking part in the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Antony Stokes addressed the ceremony: “The preparation has taken many years and a lot of works has gone into making this Olympic and Paralympic Games what I hope will be best Olympic and Paralympic Games ever held. The greenest, because a lot of work has gone into sustainable architecture and sustainable design and making a brand new Olympic park but most of all we hope very much these Olympics will be celebrated for the sport and I’m delighted that the Vietnamese team is going to be the biggest ever to an Olympic Games and Paralympic Games and we’re very excited about watching Vietnamese athletes succeed and I hope win medals at the Olympics”.

Vietnam has gained 15 official positions in the upcoming Games. Before entering the competition, some Vietnamese teams will join training courses at Bradford College in the UK. The organization committee of the Olympic Games will support 25,000 pounds sterling for the Vietnamese sporting delegation.
