UK, Japan pledge to boost cooperation
(VOVWORLD) - UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson met with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga on Friday on the sidelines of the Group of Seven summit and expressed his support for the Tokyo Olympics.

At the meeting, Johnson agreed to work together on a range of issues from trade and technology to defense and climate. The Prime Minister expressed his support for the Tokyo Olympics and welcomed Japanese efforts to ensure the games will take place safely, a Downing Street spokesperson said after the meeting.
Both leaders affirmed their cooperation toward realizing rules-based order in the Indo-Pacific, according to a statement of Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
