UK parliament resumes

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Boris Johnson is reportedly back in London ahead of MPs returning to parliament for the first time since Tuesday's historic Supreme Court ruling.

Judges ruled Johnson's move in August to suspend — or prorogue — parliament was unlawful. "The decision to advise Her Majesty to prorogue parliament was unlawful because it had the effect of frustrating or preventing the ability of parliament to carry out its constitutional functions without reasonable justification," Supreme Court President Brenda Hale said, reading out the historic decision. For today's parliament session, MPs have tabled more than 40 urgent questions that they want to ask ministers.
