(VOVWORLD) - UK Prime Minister Theresa May said she wants to end the worries of EU nationals living in the UK about their future after Brexit, saying the government will protect their rights.

Speaking before Parliament, May said no EU citizen currently in the UK lawfully will be asked to leave when the UK leaves the EU, adding details to a proposal made to the Brussels summit on Friday.
The fate of 3.2 million EU nationals living in the UK depends on the Brexit negotiations.
