(VOVworld)- The Ukraine National Assembly has overwhelmingly waived a controversial anti-protest law with 361 votes for and 2 against. Earlier this week, Ukraine 's president and the country's opposition agreed to scrap a controversial anti-protest law to end a 2-month political deadlock.  Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov tendered his resignation Tuesday in a hope for a peaceful solution to the crisis. President Viktor Yanukovych approved the decision though requested the cabinet to hold office until there is a new government in place.
