Ukraine, US discuss aid

(VOVWORLD) - Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky met with a bipartisan delegation from the US House of Representatives, including Representatives James French Hill, Mike Quigley, and Stephen Lynch, the President’s Office reported Monday.

The politicians discussed the US’s ongoing support for Ukraine, and Zelensky briefed the delegation on the current situation and the most pressing needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

US officials said earlier this month that they would give Ukraine an additional 200 million USD in military aid. It’s the 48th time the US has used the President's capital spending authority to supply equipment from US stockpiles to the Ukrainian army.

Since the outbreak of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine last year, the US has provided approximately 44 billion USD worth of military aid to Ukraine.
