The participants requested the parliament to approve a memorandum of understanding on resolving Ukraine’s crisis and ensure constitutional reforms. Accordingly, Ukraine will only join economic and political alliance depending on referendum results but not military alliance. The parliament will have to reform law enforcement agencies, give amnesty to protesters, disarm illegal gangs, stop military operations in the eastern region, and withdraw government troops to their bases.
Acting Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said the MoU’s requests were unilateral and the conference was not in its true sense. He said it’s necessary to approve a new draft constitution.
