Protesters waved EU and opposition party flags and found a way to enter the Cabinet of Ministers building. Kiev police responded by firing tear gas. Last Thursday, the Ukrainian Ministerial Council decided to end preparations for signing the EU Association Agreement, the agreement with the European Energy Community (EEC) and its members to improve relations with Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States, SNG countries. This decision came just a few days before the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius where Ukraine and the EU were to sign this agreement.
