UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned the armed attacks against protesters, and called for the government to bring those responsible to justice. Ban urged all Thais to respect human rights and the rule of law, refrain from attacks, and engage in meaningful dialogue toward ending the crisis and advancing reform.

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra denounced the recent attacks as terrorist acts for political gain, and called on all parties for restraint in dealing with the political crisis through a democratic process.
