U.N. chief Ban Ki-moon has paid his first visit to Myanmar under the invitation of President U Thein Sein.

The visit took place under a new reformist regime in a high-profile show of support for changes sweeping the former pariah state. Mr. Ban Ki-moon today/ on Monday had talk with President Thein Sein to discuss how the UN will support Myanmar’s reform process. Mr. Ban is likely to make a speech at Myanmar’s parliamen during the visit.
