(VOVWORLD) - The United Nations said Thursday it would not stop providing aid to Afghanistan despite the Taliban ban on women working in the country’s aid sector.
The UN Resident Coordinator in Afghanistan, Ramiz Alakbarov, told media that the UN Emergency Relief Coordinator and other UN officials will visit Afghanistan in the coming weeks to discuss the situation with the Taliban rulers.
He said that the best way of coming to the solution is not a pressure but a dialogue.
