UN, Syria strengthen humanitarian cooperation
(VOVWORLD) - Syrian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Walid Al Moallem met on Tuesday with Mark Lowcock, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Head of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) to discuss cooperation between the Syrian government and the organization.

Lowcock said the UN will increase collaboration with Syria on humanitarian activities. Moallem said Syria is eager to cooperate with the UN and will not politicize humanitarian aid.
Lowcock is on a fact-finding tour of Syria this week.
