The Ba Chua Xu festival at Sam Mountain, Chau Doc city, An Giang province, is a unique, long-standing festival imbued with cultural, spiritual and religious values of the southerners.

Held from the 23rd to the 27th day of the fourth lunar month, the festival attracts millions of pilgrims and tourists from all over the country and abroad.

The Ba Chua Xu Festival at Sam Mountain was recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2014.

If registered by UNESCO, this will be the second heritage in the southern region to become an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity after Don Ca Tai Tu (amateur singing) in 2013.
