(VOVworld) - JetBlue Airways will become the first US commercial airline to fly to Cuba in more than 50 years.

The first flight will fly from Fort Lauderdale airport in Florida to Santa Clara city in central Cuba on August 31^st. JetBlue announced on Thursday that one-way tickets for this flight would be 99 USD. JetBlue will initially schedule flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and will expand service to daily flights starting October 1^st. JetBlue will offer daily flights from Fort Lauderdale to Camaguey and Holguin in central and eastern of Cuba starting in November.
