US begins to evacuate American citizens from Sudan
(VOVWORLD) - On Saturday, the US began its evacuation of American citizens from Sudan by road under which a convoy carrying American citizens, local staff, and nationals from allied countries arrived Saturday in Port Sudan.

US citizens and others who are eligible will travel to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia where additional US personnel are positioned to assist with consular and emergency services.
The US hasn’t specified how many people were in the convoy and how many buses have been mobilized to evacuate these people amid the continued violence in Suda.
The US has called on factions involved in Sudan to end fighting and constantly warned American civilians not to go to Sudan at the moment.
