US, China make progress on phase 1 of trade deal
(VOVWORLD) - The US and China have made progress in implementing the agricultural terms of phase 1 of their trade agreement, the US Department of Agriculture and Trade Representative Office said in a joint statement on Tuesday.

The two agencies said US food and agricultural exports are benefiting from Chinese tariff relief. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue said China is on the right track in implementing phase 1 of the US-China trade agreement and the US intends to honor its own commitments. He said he hopes the two countries will maintain their dialogue and continue to make progress.
