(VNA) - The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has decided to terminate its countervailing duty (CVD) investigation of circular welded carbon steel pipe from Vietnam.

The DOC’s determination was that neither of the two Vietnamese companies under investigation - SeAH Steel VINA Corp. and Haiphong Hongyuan Machinery Manufactory Co., Ltd. - received Government subsidies. The US International Trade Commission (ITC) is scheduled to make a final ruling on imported steel pipe from Vietnam, India, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on November 14.
