The article said that the meeting marked an important landmark for a new opening story. Putting aside the past and differences, the US and Vietnam are ready to expand their comprehensive partnership. The article said that this expanding partnership is boosting initiatives to increase bilateral relations and the US administration’s rebalance strategy in Asia-Pacific. The developing partnership is creating a mechanism to boost cooperation in politics, diplomacy, trade, economics, science, technology, education, training, the environment, healthcare, issues concerning war consequences, national defense, and security. The article said that Vietnam has exported to the US more goods than any other ASEAN countries and this economic relationship has created thousands of jobs in Vietnam and the US.
