(VOVworld) – US State Department Counselor Thomas Shannon met on Friday with Diosdado Cabello, President of Venezuela's National Assembly and Venezuelan Foreign Minister Delcy Rodriguez in Haiti. Haitian President Michel Martelly played an intermediary role for the talks between Thomas Shannon and Diosdado Cabello. The Venezuelan Foreign Minister said the meeting discussed the normalization of bilateral ties in the spirit of respecting international law, sovereignty, and people’s self-determination rights.
