US optimistic about reaching trade deal with China
(VOVWORLD) - The United States is “very, very optimistic” about reaching a trade deal with China soon, White House spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham told the Fox News Channel in an interview on Thursday.

Grisham said the White House cannot get ahead of the talks with China, but it is very optimistic that the two countries will reach a deal soon.
The statement came after China and the US agreed to remove some tariffs if the two sides reach a deal. China indicated it wants to see the lifting of the 15 percent tariffs put on 125 billion USD worth of Chinese products in September.
US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping may sign the trade deal this month.
