US Sons and Daughters in Touch members visit Vietnam

(VOVworld) - President of the Vietnam-US Society (VUS) Nguyen Tam Chien hosted a reception for members of the US Sons and Daughters in Touch (SDIT) in Hanoi on Tuesday.

The host welcomed the visit, which falls on the 20th anniversary of rapprochement between Vietnam and the US.

Chien said the visit will help members better understand Vietnam, its history, and its people enhancing mutual understanding, friendship, and cooperation between the two peoples.

Margot C. Dolgne, founder of the Two Sides Project (2SP), said through this visit the guests want to study the land, people, and socio-economic development of Vietnam, and increase exchanges with Vietnamese children of fallen soldiers and veterans.

The US delegation will visit battlefields to learn more about the Vietnam War in the spirit of reconciliation, friendship, and looking toward the future.
