South Korea wants to be granted greater rights to reprocess spent nuclear fuel and enrich uranium to meet its long-term defense and energy needs.

The two sides also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Technology Prosperity Deal to expand cooperation in AI, space, next-generation mobile networks, biotechnology, quantum innovation and pharmaceutical supply chain guarantee.
