US-funded training courses opened for female entrepreneurs

(VOVWORLD) -Melissa A. Bishop, Chargé d'Affaires of the United States Mission to Vietnam, on Friday opened the first two courses of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs  (AWE) in Vietnam.

The Academy for Women Entrepreneurs in Vietnam is a program co-organized by the American Center in Vietnam and the Women’s Initiative for Startups and Entrepreneurship (WISE) and sponsored by the US Department of State.

Through AWE, students are taught such business skills as strategic operation planning, marketing, and financial management.

Since 2019, AWE has helped train 6,000 female entrepreneurs in nearly 90 countries around the world to start-up and develop business models.
