Venezuela's permanent representative to the UN, Ambassador Jorge Valero, said that Venezuela is the object of a sustained international campaign aimed at destabilizing its democratic institutions and overthrowing the Constitutional Government of President Nicolas Maduro. He said US threats could endanger regional peace and security. Valero said the US government has unleashed an economic-financial war against Venezuela, adopting unilateral coercive sanctions. He stressed that the Venezuelan situation can only be solved through dialogues.
