Vice President pays pre Tet visit to Quang Nam province

(VOVWORLD) - During Monday’s pre‑Tet visit to Quang Nam province, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented 400 Tet gifts to policy beneficiary families, poor households, and disadvantaged workers.

She also delivered the gifts worth 8,100 USD to children with difficulties, and 20,000 USD to assist house building for the needy.

Extending Tet greetings to the local administration and people, the Vice President asked for further investment in cultural institutions, health care, education and welfare for locals, especially those in the remote and mountainous areas, helping them have a better quality of life.

“Top priority should be given to paying debts of gratitude, taking care of, and compensating for the people who sacrificed themselves for national independence and freedom we have today,” Madam Xuan said.

She called on Quang Nam administration to complete both tasks – creating socio-economic development momentum and taking good care of those who rendered service to the nation.

The Vice President offered incense and flowers at monuments to pay tribute to Vietnamese martyrs and heroic mothers in Quang Nam.
