(VOVWORLD) - The Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) has been named among this year’s Forbes list of the world’s 2,000 largest companies (Global 2000).

Vietcombank, which was the only Vietnamese representative to be ranked among the largest 1,000, was listed at 950th, a rise of 13 notches since 2020 and up 1,035 places since 2015.
Vietcombank possesses assets worth more than 1.4 quadrillion VND (more than 62 billion USD) and is the most valuable company on the Vietnamese stock market.
The rankings are based on sales, profits, assets, and market value, using the latest-12-months’ financial data available as of April 22 to calculate the metrics.
The four other Vietnamese representatives on the list are: Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank), Hoa Phat Group, the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), and Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank) standing at 1,560, 1,564, 1,605, and 1,854 respectively.
