(VOVWORLD) - Budget carrier Vietjet Air’s first flight from Hanoi to Taichung (China’s Taiwan) departed Noi Bai International Airport on Thursday.

The new route operates five flights per week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with each leg taking 2 hours and a half. Vietjet Air is running seven routes linking Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to Taipei, Kaohsiung and Taichung, the highest number among domestic airlines.
Earlier, the airline debuted a new direct route linking Da Nang City and South Korea’s Deagu city. Flights are operated daily with traveling time estimated at 4 hours and 15 minutes.
