Vietnam advances to men's football semi-finals, wins golds in dance sport, bodybuilding
(VOVWORLD) -Home team U23 Vietnam beat Timor Leste 2-0 in Group A men's football match in Viet Tri city on Sunday evening, advancing to the semi-finals of the ongoing 31st Southeast Asian Games.

U23 Timor Leste is eliminated from the SEA Games early with 4 consecutive defeats in the qualifying round. The 2-0 win helps Vietnam rank first in Group A. Meanwhile, another ticket to the semi-finals of Group A belongs to U23 Indonesia who defeated Myanmar 3-1 in another group match on Sunday.

Team Vietnam kicked off dance sport competition at Long Bien Gymnasium, Hanoi, on Sunday, bringing home 5 gold medals and 1 silver medal. Athletes competed in 6 events: Samba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive and the performance of 5 Latin dances.

On Sunday, the last day of bodybuilding’s competition, athletes competed in 3 events including classic men's singles, women's singles and mixed doubles at the Hanoi Senior Athletes Training Center. Vietnamese bodybuilders won a total of 5 gold medals after 3 days of competition, exceeding their initial target.
