Vietnam affirms active participation in UNESCO’s activities

The session, which will run through next Tuesday in Paris, involves 58 member countries.

Ms. Hang, the head of the Vietnamese delegation,  emphasized the UNESCO’s role in responding to global problems. She said Vietnam will hold an International Symposium on Vulcanospeology at Dak Nong Global Geopark next month.

During her stay in Paris, Ms. Hang had a working session with UNESCO Director General Audrey Azoulay, UNESCO Deputy Director General Xing Qu, and Assistant Director-General for External Relations Edouard Firmin Matoko to discuss ways to implement the Memorandum of Understanding between Vietnam and UNESCO until 2025 and ways to further bilateral ties.

On the sidelines of the session, Ms. Hang met a number of delegation heads from other countries to discuss bilateral cooperation, issues of mutual concern, and coordination in implementing the meeting’s agenda.
