(VOVworld) - On November 11, the Angolan Embassy in Vietnam held a ceremony to mark the 40th anniversaries of Angola’s National Day (November 11, 1975) and diplomatic ties between the two countries (November 12).

Addressing the ceremony, Angolan Ambassador Joao Manuel Bernardo said that since 1975 Vietnam and Angola have signed 16 cooperation agreements and bilateral trade has reached 116 million USD.

He said the Angolan government regards Vietnam as a strategic partner in its process of production diversification and economic development. He said he hopes Vietnam and Angola will support each other in running for seats in international organizations.
