Vietnam appreciates WTO’s central role
(VOVWORLD) - Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang says that, as a responsible member of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Vietnam supports an open, transparent and rules-based multilateral system and appreciates the WTO’s central role.

At a press conference on Thursday, Hang conveyed Vietnam’s congratulation to Dr. Ngozi Okonjo – Iweala on becoming the WTO’s new General Director. She said Iweala’s experience and knowledge of finance and trade will make the new General Director successful in leading the WTO.
Hang added that Vietnam will work closely with the new General Director and the other WTO members to reform the organization.
