During a meeting on Monday, Minister Faurie and Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh agreed that their countries have deepened bilateral ties in all fields over the past 45 years, especially in politics, which is reflected by regular visits and contact between leaders of the two countries.

Minister Faurie praised Vietnam’s position in the region and in the world, expressing his wish to promote Argentina’s ties with Vietnam, particularly in economics and trade.

Both sides agreed on increasing visits by senior leaders and promoting specific cooperative programs on agriculture, industry, information technology, security and defense, and tourism. They pledged to cement bilateral cooperation and mutual support at international organizations and multilateral forums.
