Vietnam asks Thailand to search for missing Vietnamese fisherman

(VOVworld) - The Embassy of Vietnam in Thailand has asked Thailand to search for a Vietnamese fisherman missing after a recent attack.

During a meeting with officials of Thailand’s Royal Navy on Monday, Nguyen Hai Ngoc, First Secretary of the Vietnam Embassy called the search a humanitarian issue. According to Captain Chokchai Ruangjam of Thai Naval Zone 2, Thailand has deployed helicopters and ships to search for the missing Vietnamese fisherman. The search will continue over the next few days.
