(VOVworld) – A Vietnamese military delegation led by Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh is now in Singapore to attend the 14th Asia Security Summit, known as the Shangri-la Dialogue, from May 29 to 31.

The Dialogue comprises 6 discussion sessions on: the US and security challenges in Asia-Pacific, new forms of security collaboration in Asia, prevention of escalating conflicts,  China’s role in maintaining Asia-Pacific security and stability, strengthening of regional order, and active settlement of conflicts.

General Vinh will deliver a speech on preventing escalating conflicts at the third session.

The Vietnamese delegation will also conduct several bilateral talks.
