(VOVworld) – Representatives of the Vietnamese Permanent Mission to the UN on Wednesday attended an international charity bazaar held at the UN headquarters in New York to raise funds for Syrian refugees. The Vietnamese two stalls sold handicraft items and food.

The event, organized by the UN Women’s Guild (UNWG), drew more than 70 permanent diplomatic missions. It featured fine arts, handicrafts, and cuisine from countries around the world.

Addressing the opening ceremony, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said the bazaar, the fourth of its kind, coincide with UN social development and climate change programs and encourages nations to come together to build a sustainable world.
