(VOVworld) - The 2012 La Fête de l'Humanité (The Festival of Humanity) opened on the outskirts of Paris on Saturday night.  The Vietnamese stand during the three-day event aims to promote the country’s culture to foreign friends and bringe the Vietnamese community in France closer together. The festival, held by the French Communist Party, is significant to Vietnam as it is celebrating 40 years of the signing of the Paris Peace Accord on January 27th 2013. At the festival, Vietnam’s Nhan Dan (People) newspaper has presented insignias for 4 French friends who have helped Vietnamese representative offices in France. Hellene Luc, President of France-Vietnam Friendship Association was one of the insignia recipients: “Vietnam has been with me throughout my lifetime. At the age of 15, I went down to the streets to protest against the war in Vietnam. After so many years, I still love this country every much and try my best to foster the friendship between the two countries. We also pass down this love to our successors, asking them to come to Vietnam. I am very glad that an increasing number of young people have chosen Vietnam as a place of their honeymoon holiday. This is nice symbol for bilateral friendship”.
