Vietnam attends the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-aligned movement in Egypt
(VOVworld) – A Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Le Luong Minh is attending the Ministerial meeting of the Non-aligned movement in Sharm El Sheikh city, Egypt.

The participants will discuss basic contents in preparation for a high-level meeting of the Non-aligned movement to be held in Tehran, Iran in August. Speaking to VOV correspondent, Hoang Chi Trung, Head of the Department of International Organizations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Vietnamese delegation has actively participated in the meeting agenda preparation:"The work agenda documents include a number of contents which are being discussed in New York. Through Vietnamese delegation in the United Nations, we have cooperated with member countries of the ASEAN’s non-aligned movement to build common theme of the Non-aligned movement especially about situation in the ASEAN and its development, building stability and peace in the region and the world. Vietnam has also attributed to initiatives on disarmament, implementation of UN millennium goals and the movement’s efforts to build a world free of nuclear weapons".
Mr. Trung said Deputy Foreign Minister Le Luong Minh will meet with other member countries of the movement on the sideline of the meeting to gain their support to Vietnam in the race to UN agencies as well as UN Security Council in the term 2020 to 2021.
