Vietnam attracts 19 billion USD of FDI capital over 8 months
(VOVWORLD) - As of August 20, the total newly registered capital, capital contributions and share purchases by foreign investors in Vietnam reached more than 19 billion USD equivalent to 97.9% against last year, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Disbursement of foreign direct investment (FDI) capital in Vietnam hit 11.5 billion USD over the past eight months, up 2% percent from last year.
About 640 existing projects had their capital raised by a total of nearly 5 billion USD, up 2.3%.
The decline in the newly registered investment capital mainly focused on small-scale projects under 5 million USD, while the number of large-scale projects worth over 50 million USD keeps rising over the past 8 months.
As of last Friday, there were 34,000 valid projects with a total registered capital of 400 billion USD.
