VGCL’s President Dang Ngoc Tung briefed participants on the confederation’s activities over the past years, including designing labor and trade union policies, working as a government’s think-tank in terms of building mechanisms that protect legitimate rights and interests of workers and ensure sustainable development.

He said he hoped that the visit would further strengthen solidarity and cooperation between the two countries’ labor movements and trade unions.

ACTU’s President Ged Kearney also updated the host about Australia’s developments and the ACTU’s activities and wished that both sides would intensify their growing ties in the future.
