Vietnam, Australia strengthen strategic partnership
(VOVWORLD) - Visiting Politburo member Nguyen Trong Nghia on Friday emphasized Vietnam’s commitment to strengthening ties with Australia across all sectors, including security, defense, trade, education, and science and technology.

Mr. Nghia, who heads the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication, Education and Mass Mobilization, called for effective implementation of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Action Program during meetings with Governor-General Sam Monstyn, Chief Minister of the Australian Capital Territory Andrew Barr, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Sarah Storey.
Governor-General Monstyn and Deputy Minister Storey praised the development of bilateral trade, tourism, and education, highlighting the contributions of the Vietnamese community and affirming Australia as a trusted partner supporting Vietnam’s development goals.
Chief Minister Barr expressed Canberra’s interest in implementing cooperative projects with Hanoi and other localities, especially in education, trade, tourism, and urban planning.
