(VOV)- The Vietnamese Consulate General in Perth from August 19- 23 deployed various activities to strengthen economic and commercial exchange and promote Vietnamese arts and culture in Australia’s Northern Territory in the context of the 40th anniversary of Vietnam- Australia diplomatic ties. During his visit to the region, Vietnamese General Consul in Perth Le Viet Duyet met with a number of local officials and leaders of relevant branches and agencies. In all the meetings, representatives of territory governments expressed their desire to further boost cooperation with Vietnam as part of the territory’s strategy to deepen relations with Asia and praised Vietnam’s position in the region. On the occasion of the annual traditional festival of Darwin city, the Vietnamese General Consulate organized several cultural activities, including a painting exhibition called “” and a film screening as well as a meeting to celebrate Vietnamese National Day, September 2, and the 40th anniversary of the Vietnam-Australia diplomatic ties.
