At a meeting on the sidelines of the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting Retreat in Nha Trang on Friday, both leaders also agreed to increase experience exchange and coordination of view points on regional and global issues between the two countries, who chair ASEAN in 2020 and 2021.

Both leaders stressed the need to consolidate ASEAN’s centrality in the region, respond to traditional and non-traditional security challenges, and maintain peace, stability, security, safety, and freedom of navigation and aviation.
