Vietnam Business Forum discuses supply chain recovery in new normal

(VOVWORLD) - Working groups of the Vietnam Business Forum (VBF) on Friday discussed restoring the supply chain to ensure smooth and safe circulation of goods and production,  attracting investment capital flows into large-scale projects, reforming the legal framework in accordance with international standards, and developing human resources, competitiveness, and sustainable economy.

The forum was jointly organized in Hanoi by the Board of Directors of the VBF Alliance, the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam, the World Bank, and the International Finance Corporation.

Representatives of ministries and state agencies directly answered questions from the business community.

Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc told businesses, investors and development partners: “As a general advisory agency assigned by the Prime Minister to coordinate the organization the Vietnam Business Forum, we will report a detailed summary to the Prime Minister on groups of problems and recommendations of the business community. We are aware that enterprises are the center, the players of production activities, and an important factor contributing to national economic development and prosperity."

"We highly appreciate the role of the business community and the Vietnam Business Forum. This is an information channel bridging government agencies and business community,” she said. 

The Ministry of Planning and Investment said the annual Vietnam Business Forum Summit 2021 will open on Monday in Hanoi, where Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will deliver a keynote speech.
