Vietnam calls for negotiations in Libya

(VOVWORLD) - Ambassador Pham Hai Anh,  Vietnam's Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, on Friday urged involved parties in Libya to intensify dialogues and negotiations, build trust, and fully implement the ceasefire agreement run by Libyans under the monitor of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).

At a UN meeting on the Libya situation and the UNSMIL’s operation, Mr. Hai Anh spoke highly of the role and effort of the UN, Libya’s neighboring countries, international organizations and partners in boosting peace and development in Libya.

He affirmed Vietnam’s full support on the extension of the UNSMIL’s operation in Libya, and suggested more human resource support to help Libya reform its economy.
