(VOVworld) - The High Command of Royal Cambodian Armed Forces on Friday held an inauguration ceremony for the Cambodia-Vietnam Army Friendship House in Phnom Penh.

The US$500,000 project, sponsored by the Vietnam People’s Army, covers an area of 1,700 square metres and has four storeys with a library and meeting, working, and living rooms. General Mom Xom, a representative of the High Command of Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, highly appreciated the great support from the Vietnamese side in building the Friendship House: "This is great assistance to us. This is the only Friendship house here built with the support of Vietnamese army".
Vietnamese Major-General Nguyen Huu Manh described the building as a symbol of the special friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia and said Vietnam is willing to provide the necessary equipment for the house. The inauguration of the Friendship House aims to commemorate the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Cambodia relations.
