The 2012 “Vietnam - Guangdong Economic, Trade and Tourism Forum” opened in Guangzhou City yesterday as part of activities to mark the 67^th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day. Participants discussed the investment and tourism environments in Vietnam and Guangdong and highlighted the need to encourage businesses in Guangdong to import more Vietnamese products. The forum is important and practical for leaders, businessmen, and investors of both sides and considered a key channel for the exchange of information between Vietnamese and Guangdong companies.

The same day, a ceremony to mark Vietnam’s National Day was attended by representatives of the Guangdong provincial Government and the consulates of 40 countries there.
