Vietnam, China deepen comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership

(VOVWORLD) - Ahead of his State-level visit to China and attendance of the high-level forum on the Belt and Road Initiative, President Tran Dai Quang highlighted the prospects of Vietnam-China ties.

In an interview with the media on Wednesday in Hanoi, the President said the strengthening of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries matches their fundamental and long-term interests and benefit peace and stability in the region and the world. Mr. Quang said that during visit he will discuss with the Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and other senior leaders ways to boost mutual trusts and consolidate the Vietnam-China traditional friendship and deepen their comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

President Tran Dai Quang said the forum on the Belt and Road Initiative will provide opportunities for heads of states and leaders of international organizations to exchange views on measures to boost cooperation and international integration for peace, stability, security, prosperity, and sustainable development. The President added Vietnam supports initiatives and efforts to strengthen economic and regional connectivity for joint benefits of countries.
